Dry and shady conditions greeted the competitors for the second Go-Karting competition between DMS technologies of Romsey and Simplex-Turbulo of Wherwell. DMS fielded an inexperienced squad to defend their title while Simplex-Turbulo left nothing to chance, calling on the guest services of James Lanham, reigning individual champion Don Gilles, company Chairman James Hogg and newcomer Ben Southwick in efforts to bring the trophy further back up along the Test valley. With points awarded for finishing within the top 8 positions both teams were fired up to claim victory.

A wonderful evenings’ racing saw the team competition won by Simplex-Turbulo. The greater experience in their team paid off despite DMS technologies’ best and spirited efforts.
A rematch was suggested as the evening came to a close with DMS technologies surely keen to reclaim the ‘Phil Gibson Trophy,’ and Test Valley honours.
