A donation of €250 is to be made to The Foundation KiKa, a charity organisation dedicated to research into child cancer treatment, following a competition put on by Maritime Propeller Repairs BV (MPR) at the Europort 2015 exhibition in Rotterdam.

MPR had organised a contest where the participants had to estimate the weight of a propeller featured at their stand. The winner was to receive a voucher for a €250 discount on any future propeller repairs.

As the winner, Mr PF van Niesthoven, does not own vessels, he has instead requested that the money be donated to The Foundation KiKa for child cancer research. MPR was happy to support his wish, and are to transfer the amount to KiKa.

The Foundation KiKa is a Dutch charity foundation that fundraises solely for research to childhood cancers, and seeks to increase the cure rate to 95% by 2025. The organisation raises money to fund the extensive amount of research necessary to achieve this ambitious and worthy goal.
