Moonroast coffee provides a mid-week lift at Simplex

Simplex-Turbulo, Diesel and Marine specialists, may be located miles from the nearest high street, but that doesn’t stop them from bringing the pick of local Hampshire producers’ goodies into the office from time to time.

So it was, that staff at Simplex-Turbulo enjoyed a coffee break with a difference on Wednesday March 5th when Francis Bradshaw of Moonroast Coffee came to visit.

Moonroast Coffee is a newly-established artisan coffee roastery based in the Candover valley, where coffee beans are slow roasted in small batches for a deeper, fresher flavour. Francis is passionate about coffee and answered various questions about the origins of the beans, roasting and how best to prepare a perfect cup of coffee.

He offered staff a tasting of four different beans/blends, from the fruity Ethiopian to the rich Kenyan through to the smooth Colombian flavours. After some debate and deliberation, everyone chose their favourite coffee, with the distinctive Ethiopian flavour coming out on top followed closely by the Kenyan/Ethiopian blend.

With the office now buzzing with delicious coffee aromas, everyone got back to work with renewed energy and focus. Simplex staff will be able to enjoy a cup of invigorating coffee every day as they’ve asked Moonroast to supply their coffee from now on.

PS Simplex tea and hot chocolate aficionados haven’t been forgotten – they will be treated to some delightful new flavours over the coming months, so watch this space!
