It is with great excitement that we announce our intentions for the ‘Lincoln to Wherwell Challenge’.
The Challenge, which will take place over the 6th and 7th of August, is a two day cycling event, taking the ten riders from our offices in Lincoln on a tough 186 mile journey down south, to our Wherwell offices near Andover, with the aim of raising funds through sponsorship for our five chosen charities as well as all of us getting fitter and having a good time together at the same time. Not all staff are undertaking the full two day ride, some (James Hogg, Justin Brooking, Kevin McGill and Richard Edwards) are undertaking a 40 mile expedition, while still others are going on a mere 15 mile jaunt – including a sponsored tutu-wearing duo comprising Pete Hoggett and Jonathan Parr.
In the lead up to the big event, we will also be holding other sporting and non-sporting events; including sportsperson fancy dress competition and a ‘who can ice the best bicycle on a bun’ event, with all the proceeds going towards our charities, all of which have been nominated by staff with first hand experience of their worth.
To find out more information about the challenge, and the charities we have chosen to support, please head over to our ‘Lincoln to Wherwell Challenge’ website:
All our fundraising will be done through our Virgin Money Giving page, to make this as easy as possible, and to ensure we can maximise the amount raised for our charities. If you would like to donate, or just want to visit the page, please follow this link:
